Follow the yellow brick road...

Here is the face to the shoes! I always love having repeat clients because you get to know them well and what they like. Marisa wanted something bright and urban for this years Christmas theme and we found the perfect locations for their family...well, this is how it happened. I had posted a photo of Ryu's restaurant on my Facebook and Marisa and I were already working out a date for the shoot, she saw the photo and thought that would be a great backdrop. So off we went...

Love this...

I actually had some help from behind. Thanks, April for the assistance!

I am also glad that I have clients that like some wildstyle shots too! Marisa loves all things coke and we try and get that incorporated into the shoot every time!

And back to Ryu's for a final fisheye shot!

Have a very happy Colourful Christmas people!

Aiko and Justin: Kimono sneek peek...

Recently, I had the unique opportunity to photograph a kimono pre-wedding shoot with Suwanee of Suwanee Photography. Here is just one from the shoot...more soon...

Suwanee used to live on Okinawa and now resides in Spokane, Washington. But, she was here for Aiko and Justin's wedding (she will travel for weddings)...more of that coming soon...it was one crazy photo filled weekend :o) It was great to photograph with you Suwanee. Annya and I second shot the wedding and it was just a wild wedding. The next day Suwanee and I did some beach shots (AKA trash the dress type shots) which involved a swaying pier and lots of water! Thank you, weather, for cooperating with us!

Family sunset shoot

I met Mary-Ellen through her daughter, Katie, at the riding stables here on the East coast of the island. We had talked about doing a photo shoot in the future. The funny thing is this island is so small. Mary-Ellen works with the husband of one of my good friends here and he was telling her about his wife's friends photography and lo and behold it was me! Ha ha...Word of mouth is simply the BEST!
Well, we finally got together. The morning shoot had to be rescheduled because of rain, but the afternoon worked out perfectly, even with the thunder clouds in the distance...
We got the traditional...

Followed by the crazy (of course!)...

I found this cool little light pocket and got this beautiful shoot of hubby and wife...every photo shoot seems to have a little unique gift...

Here's Katie...gorgeous eyes...

and bruv Matt (also gorgeous eyes) and funny too, great combination...best of luck at college :o)

Mary-Ellen wanted a silhouette image like this of her babies...

and we loved this too...

We had fun didn't we guys? Trevor, Trrrreeevvvoorrrrrr...I can't hear you. LOL I better stop, I may get run over by a man on a Harley!

Baby Buzzy Bee

That was then...
This is now!

There were so many shots I loved from this shoot. I think everyone felt the same because it took a while to choose and then for me to edit so many of the chosen ones. It was an international decision! Japan, New Zealand and England relations are good!
Now, I am not a studio photographer, but for newborn shoots, there is always some corner that can be found with some great light...

Hanging out in my (NOT REAL FUR) hat...

I loved working with Hayley, we have the same crazy sense of humour, so the shoot was just a breeze...LOVE this one of Mum and baby...

and this...

and this, baby E is going, going...

gone!

We even got one of little Missy laughing...

and I'll end this with a classic black and white...going back to my roots!...look at her, so bright eyed and bushy tailed...

Thanks guys it was a blast even if the snorkeling mask images didn't happen LOL
See you soon, Hayley, for 'fush 'n chups!'

I Heart Faces - Pets only

This week at I Heart Faces is 'pets'
So here is our new adopted dog, Ella...

We weren't looking for another dog, but we looked after her for 2 days for PCSing neighbours while they found her a foster home with a lady who rescues chihuahuas. Of course she grew on us...and we worked it out that we would keep her...
She likes this sun spot in the mornings...
