POEM - Album shoot 1

I am so glad I got to do this shoot for Hanif AKA POEM. His vision and mine were so in line with one another that it made the whole shoot very smooth sailing (apart from all the weather reschedules of course, oh and a few less kids than expected!!!)

Hanif was doing this shoot for his 3rd album cover (In the Moment) and he wanted some graffiti walls and some kids. Well, sometimes plans don't work out and instead of the scheduled 5 kids you get one (if I had known I would have rallied my own and friends kids as back up LOL)

Here's a BW one! Reminds me of an album cover from the early 90's or something, maybe a Nas album cover!

Hanif knew I loved graffiti and urban style shoots and had read that I used to do freelance for some Hip Hop magazines back in my NYC days, so that's what drew him to my work!

And what a great guy he is. All about the community and love and peace of Hip Hop culture... Have a listen...POEM = Prepared. Oracle. to. Elevate. Mics.
I thought I would add a cross process effect to this one and I quite like it...

Thank you, Hanif. I thoroughly enjoyed working with you and partaking again in my love of urban hiphop shooting. We should collaborate in NYC one day! Have a great time in Germany with your family and don't forget little old me when you hit the BIG big time!

I Heart Faces - iphone photography

Taken with hipstamatic (my fave app). I have other face ones I actually prefer - somewhere - but this one was on hand and still a face and I love orange! OK, that's all running out the door now, gotta make sure I don't forget the iphone! LOL

I am wayyyy behind on blogging, but this was part of the Santa hats shoot before Christmas with my good friend Jen and family...Relaxing after a long teacher work week...

My family has so much fun with this family (and Jen and I do pretty much on our own too). This session was just like a fun walk along the Araha area at sunset with friends! This image went on a 20x30 gallery wrap (the bigger the better for preserving memories I say!)

I Heart Faces - Red

I just love this recent session image and it's RED!

...and it's LOVE! Happy Valentine's day to all the life lovers, groovers, shakers and music makers (Yeah, I just finished watching the Grammys!). And it's also red because this week's challenge is in support of Go Red for Women. Love and take care of your heart, it works hard for you!

I'm a bit behind on the old blog, but better late than never! Right before Christmas, Yes, I do realize it's Feb, I did another shoot with Mary and Family...

I first did their maternity and then newborn...and now nearly a year and a half later is the handsome Mr. D. who now looks like a little boy! Amazing how time operates!

He was a great little model then and a great little model now...I had to capture those eyes again, just like his baby shots!
