MUST begin with a blown out tire!Yep, that is what happened on our journey towards Okuma, about half and hour into our trip, up the expressway, the familier bump, bump, bump of a blown tire greeted us. It would not have been so bad, had it not been for the fact that our spare HAD A FLAT! So, lots of waiting for tow truck to come fill us up, then a couple of hours looking for a new tire in every garage known to man (none of them had it). Finally, as I was about to blow up myself, we just decided to head on up to Okuma with the spare freshly blown up. We got there. It only ended up taking us 7 hours (instead of 2), but we had a nice cabin awaiting us and our good friends, The Pricherts, too.
So it wasn't all that bad!
Campfires, beer and chat by night and fun in the sun was had by all. The kids and I had our first taste of jet skiing. April, Jeff and I had a 25 minute banana boat ride that left my body completely wrecked the next day. Crazy golf, food, sea, shells, screeching bugs, glass bottom boat. It was all there! Okuma, here we come again soon! (this time we'll make sure the tires are all blown up!). Here's a few more photos...

Loubie's turn...
just enjoying the beach...What else is happening...well, it is hot, but that's nothing new. I am now a volunteer affiliated photographer for a non-profit, more on that soon. I have lots of laundry (yawn). That's it, life goes on even in paradise!
