OK, It was 1640, so I was running around the living room getting the kid's stuff ready for swimming lessons at 1700. April had one leg in her bathing suit, Loubs was climbing on the step ladder trying to get something from the cupboard, when, all of a sudden I felt really strange and shaky and thought Loubie had bumped the cupboard and was SHAKING A CONCRETE BUILDING (strong boy huh?!). The rocking contined for about 20 secs, during that time I realized I was experiencing my first earthquake. Even though I lived in San Diego for a number of years, I always seemed to miss any such activity. So exciting! Apparently, it was a 6.2 at the epicenter, which was a few hundred miles away!
