Oh, I am not a happy camper right now...

I went to the Ginowan Eisa Festival, took some photos, all was good, 'til I got back to the car to find a bright yellow sticker. I had heard about these things and I heard about how much they cost, I was hoping it was an urban myth.

But no, I took it to the police station and I have to pay 150,000 YEN. Yes, for all you currency convertor geeks out there, that does amount to $150 or 75 pounds. I AM PISSED.

There was no bloody sign or nothing. And besides, even if there was, 150,000 YEN. I guess even the nice Okinawans have a sheisty government.

All I can think about is that it is half or a quarter of a new lens, a bill, classes for the kids. But no, I have to give it up to these tosspots. Then, to add insult to injury, whilst riding to the police station, a dog stuck it's head out of the patio opening and nearly bit my ear off, then as I was talking to a police man, a taxi nearly killed a cyclist, narrowly missing my car, me and the cop.

Sigh, tomorrow is another day, VBS celebration and Loub's Birthday Party. I'll be too busy to moan! Thanks Caz for the shoulder :o)

That's just depressing, especially after your list of the better stuff you could have done with the money. It stinks that you had this happen to you!

I'm still getting my yen to dollars ratio mixed up and didn't even notice the mistake until I read the comment above. I'm so afraid I'm going to go to the ATM one day and take out more money then I meant to.
