I am a little behind in my blogging. I have a cool shoot swap to talk about, another photo session coming up, an aquarium trip and so on. But, this art of April's always needs to be seen! So, my little artist April is watching bit and pieces of the 'Business of being born' the other night. Some of the time she is in her room and I forget all about her. Now, her room is right opposite the TV in the living room, so she floats this piece of paper down in my lap. I am quite impressed - she is paying attention and a great artist, plus a great sense of humour (well, she is half British!)
I have to say, this film definately was right on the mark. I had April in San Diego and Loubie in London. Both, I was lucky enough to have a midwife, although for April she was off duty so I had a Dr for delivery (induced)...out came the pitocin, then the epidural, then the vacumn, and the episiotomy. Lewis' birth was so different. I was scheduled for a water birth (yep, the NHS offers that, anybody seen Sicko? That was my hospital!). However, I was induced, since I was 10 days overdue, so that threw a 'natural' birth out the window! But instead of bring-the-labour-on-like-a-freight-train pitocin, I had prostaglandin. Then another after 6 hrs and right after that labour came on. I did have an epidural (a walking one - much milder), but the difference was I was not on my back, I was moving around and I actually was on a birthing stool on top of the bed when Loubie crowned. It was soooo much better and I felt like I was in control, not the other way around. Plus, the UK has Gas and Air, the funniest thing since, well, gas and air!!! I was talking about LL Cool J and all kinds and it is very safe! Say no more!!! That's my story!
The humidity seems to be back. After being teased for a week or so of much cooler and more importantly, much less humid, weather, the hot sticky feeling is back...yuk!
The last couple of weeks, I have been out snorkeling quite a bit. First with Albert, that's the hubby, and another time with Candice. I did start another group on Okinawa Ning for snorkelers since it is always a good idea to have buddy's in the water with you.
Here's me and my new friend, Mr. Blue Starfish...
Albert...Candice and I (well part of me), some other snorkelers were kind enough to take a photo with the $7 camera I have (you know what will be on my Christmas list!). They also has weight belts and said they helped a lot, especially since Candice and I couldn't stay under the water to get a photo taken without boing-ing to the surface and cracking up!OK, I am sure I have bored you solid, see you next time!

Is it still warm enough to snorkel? I haven't snorkeled yet here, maybe I will have to join you...you know tag along AGAIN.
I think we would need a shortie wetsuit now, maybe 3mm, I think Tsunami scuba have a sale. I don't have one yet. Yeah, let's go when the weather clears up and warms up!
How cute and funny is that picture she drew, I'm sure Caitlin will be that creative one day, lol.
