You know, you've really go to be in the mood to blog and I fell out of it for a good few...just like you have to be in the mood to paint or go out and take random photos...it's all what with comes with being an art-eeest darling (said tongue in cheek, of course!)
I have been a busy person though. I have been doing my usual volunteering at Loubie's school. Attending a few school events. I did career day at the kid's school a couple of weeks ago talking about photography, the kids seemed to enjoy it!
We are also deciding whether it is really worth the hassle (and cost) of moving just because I really don't like the brown walls (like living inside a tree...hmmm, thinking of it like that, it's pretty cool). Well, it's not just that, I would like some more business type space and maybe an extra inch of kitchen counter...some kids for the kids to play with and a garden...Oh, a pool...ha ha I am getting carried away now!
I spent a day with the Okinawa Hai girls up the North of the island and we had a swingingly good time. Found this cool 'statue' on a bath on a roof...
Albert came back from deployment only to be found nowhere near home most of the time with crazy shifts. But I managed to get a couple of photo shoots in, which, you will see soon...
Oh, talking of photography...On Saturday May 30th, I am teaching a photo class at Kadena Youth Center for kids aged 9-12...if you are on Okinawa, give them a call. You have to reserve a spot!
AND...I am also showing my photos at Foster Library's Art Connections for the entire month of June. Swing by if you are on Okinawa.
Here's one of my little projects. It started with one horse/pony eye and became a project in progress!!! Jen, one of the instructor's, is PCSing and I gave her a print of her fav pony eye. The Eye of Sly! He's gorgeous, isn't he! Safe travels, Jen and Family...
