Halloween was definitely different this year. For one, we really didn't go trick or treating, door to door, collecting sweets that mostly Loubie can't eat anyway and having to give them away (and now I don't work at the YMCA and I have no staff, what would I do with all that candy?!). So off we walked to 'American Village'. Had dinner, then walked around and I took some photos. (Just in case anyone is interested, these are all Straight Out Of Camera and taken at 1600 ISO no flash 50mm 1.8)

On our way home we came by a very VERY strong green light and this is the result. Fun, huh?! Again, these are SOOC.
Loubie as the little-green-wizard-boy...

April as cheerleader-gone-mad!

Albert as the green-crazed-jester-hulk man

Me as the wild-pink-haired-my-boobs-are-not-really-that-big-I-hope-mad woman! LOL

As we walked along the seawall home, it started to drizzle, then it started to rain and then it pissed down (as we Londoners say!). We took shelter under the toddlers pirate ship and I read the kids a spooky story using the flashlight whilst rain pelted my back (I had planned to read stories on the beach originally). We must have been a right sight! It was memorable though. Very different to last year. And very different to my own childhood. When we said 'trick or treat', we meant it and since most people were so grumpy they slammed the doors in our faces, we got the tricks out...flour, eggs, you name it and usually got chased down the street. If we had been caught I'm sure we would have been subjected to a real halloween LOL
