Down came the rain...
I've been wondering the past few days (weeks), where is the rain? It is meant to be rainy season beginning in May, where apparently it rains every day all day for the entire month. Not so. May has been very unrainy and the last week has been SO HOT that I contemplated doing tome kind of raindance on the roof. PLEASE RAIN. So, tonight it was very hot and humid again and I rallied the family members, including the ever panting Harry Dog, and off we went for a walk to the pirate ship park. Well, on our way there, we could see lightening in the distance and a big black storm cloud blowing in. As it got closer, the wind became actually quite chilly and you could (I swear) smell the negative (or is it positive?) Ions in the air. I know this smell, because I used to own an ionizer until it turned the wall behind it black and I threw the thing out. Anyway, there I was enjoying all this, when DOWN CAME THE RAIN. Oh, it rained, we ran for shelter, April and Loubie danced and played in it. We waited. We had an ice cream (shelter was the ice cream machine room). We waited some more. It died down and we decided to go home (about a 7 minute walk). Right after we left, it came down again. HARD. Poor Harry Dog, he really doesn't like the rain too much. But it was so refreshing. Got in and we all (yes, all, includes the dog) jumped in the shower. Great fun! So, I guess the rainy season has started. A bit late, but it's here!
