Bon Voyage...

Daddy O...

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
A traditional Irish blessing...

Here's my version (of course!):
May the internet connect to write to me.
May the wind not blow you overboard.
May the sun shine warm upon your bald head;
the rains fall soft upon your rusty ship and until we meet again,
May you hold many lovely travel gifts in the palm of your hand!

This would be one of Loubie's: May many rainbows light your day!
This would be one of April's: From thinkexist.com Winnie the Pooh quotes:
"If there ever comes a day when we can't be together, keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever."

We will miss you...

Forest Adventure

WOW, this is old, lost in blogosphere, waiting patiently to be published...I think this was the first week of November!
Busy week/weeks...what's new?!!!
Photo's to edit, appointments to go to, kids to feed, flip flops to throw out (finally - RIP flip flops from 2001)!

Soup bowls to find...I made soup one rainy afternoon and was missing 3 out of my 4 soup bowls. Where did I find them? Well, 2 were used to store perla beads (Thanks, Loubie) and 1 was in the hamster cage as a "bath for them" Thanks, April. Don't worry, I used Palmolive, antibacterial.

We also had the Marine Corps Ball on lots of Thursday nights ago...always so exciting (not!)

Friday morning a quick photo shoot, then off to Forest Adventure - a zip line adventure park here in Okinawa. I don't know what possessed me to go here since I am scared of heights but it wasn't too bad since the top of the trees were right there, didn't feel too high...I survived it, with aching arms and a woodchip bum to prove it!
Albert went first of course...
Here I go!Coming in to land...do I looked scared of what?!!!Nearly walked into this thing...You're never far from a view like this in Okinawa...This was the scariest for me. You had to jump off and swing into the net in the next photo...Wherever we travel, we always have a photo of Albert and the guys we meet...I am wondering what the guy on the left uses that long pinkie nail for...?! Nose picking, perhaps? Oh and here's a video

Free like a butterfly...

...busy like a bee....
This is what the weekend consisted of...
Friday - we had a 'little' setback when one of April's hamsters died. RIP 'Rain'. We buried her in the grass downstairs. Night - dinner and icecream...followed by 101 temp for April. Some Tylenol and TLC and she was fine.

Saturday morning photo shoot. More of that soon...But here are this delightful families feet!
Saturday afternoon/evening mini photo shoot with a friend's gorgeous daughters and playdate for Loubie.
Sunday we had so many choices (tug of war, rock fest, aquarium, etc) that we literally blew an entertainment fuse (Remember, I am the FAGO...Fun And Games Officer) and stayed in watched movies and played board games (remember 'Frustration' with the pop-o-matic in the middle). Followed by an evening walk/ride/scooter. Edited photos.

Monday was Columbus day so we all headed out bright and early to ride the Torii beach waterslide before it closed for the 'winter'. Emmm, it was already closed when we got there, so we snorkeled, collected sea glass and shells and played with the new toys - remote control cars. Pretty cool actually. Then ended up at the swimming pool. Yes, I got burnt. Edited photos.
Today, Tuesday, the kids were back at school, but Al was off, so we went for brekkie at Transit Cafe (on the seawall) then off to Maeda Point to snorkel. There were A LOT of people there, it was like the Walmart of snorkeling, but once we got in, who cared. There were parrot fish, other rainbow fish, baracuda looking fish (that weren't baracudas). It was kind of rough and hard to get in and out. Of course, I fell and busted my hand on the rocks. My snorkel is also a piece of c**p. But you live and learn. Sea condition: Caution! It was mostly fun!

Now, to throw these disgusting smelling cress heads out. The 'hair' grew a bit then died. Man, I can't even grow cress! The one with no face is Albert's. We made it for him and kept forgetting to tell him to draw his face LOL
That's it for now, before you know it, it will be the weekend again. Rest of week, I have 2 photo shoots and helping out in Loubie's class for Pumpkin Day...Oh, and laundry to fold!
One more sunset photo and I'm done, I swear...
Toodle Pip!
