Heather in ATL - #travelingphotographer

I never wrote a blog post about this cool shoot I did in Atlanta last year, so here it is. Better late than never, hey! So, Heather is the daughter of my friend and fellow Okinawa Hai blogger, Dasha. Dasha hired me to do Heather's senior photos back when we were all in Okinawa in 2009 I want to say. Well, since then, Heather 'adulted' and became a super duper intelligent linguistics person and moved to Augusta, Georgia. So, one day I post on my facebook page that I am traveling to Atlanta...

Heather replies that she would love to book a shoot. So, that's what happened. We met up in ATL. It was super hot and humid but we shot around the 'little five points' area and had a blast!

 

The owner of this shop kindly let us use this space as the light was so amazing!

Again love a b+w conversion. Sometimes I go for a traditional, clean b+w, sometimes a more vintage artsy one like this...

3 or 4 outfit changes later and it was a wrap and we went for a veggie wrap in one of the cool little cafes in the area :)

On the way home, I stopped at Oakland Cemetery - I was in sea foam green and turquoise heaven!

and then Savannah's Bonaventure...I just love Mausoleums :)

The girl with the blue blue eyes - Okinawa Portrait Photographer

Ashley is a repeat client, which is great because we already know each other! Even upside down!

Even though it was a cloudy afternoon, the Oki sea still gave off it's beauty!

As well as complimenting Ashley's...

This structure is very popular and no wonder, it's gorgeous!

The sea was pretty rough, what you don't see are the crazy waves!

Ashley wanted the Oki blues and she got it even though we almost rescheduled the shoot because of how cloudy and looking like rain it was!

Love this one, so natural!

Gorgeous and look at those eyes!

As we were shooting, a local fisherman went about his merry way to catch dinner! It was so cool. He actually swam out, launched his net and came back (all fully dressed including shoes!)

On a side note - Airi, from Seaside cafe (Seaside facebook page) loved this last photo so much she ordered a 12x18 print and another one of 'peace' on the beach. If you are in Okinawa, go there for brekkie/lunch...it's great!

Blog catch up time! Another family session before Christmas! Bright and early one morning!

Along came a family all dressed in blue with lots of energy!

Mum and Dad! Just moved to Okinawa from San Diego! Found me through Google (thanks Google!) and liked my style as apparently it was similar to their last photographer in SD...

It was def. a high energy shoot. This was right before the running!

and we ended chilling by the sea!

I could shared loads more from the shoot, but don't like to flood the blog down too much with every single great photo that we took with the family...hugging, mochis and being together!
